BIOGRAFIA

Daniele Conversi ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso la LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science) nel 1994. È uno storico sociale e teorico politico meglio conosciuto per il suo lavoro comparativo sul nazionalismo e la diversità etno-culturale, con specializzazione geografica sulla Spagna e il  Mediterraneo.  

Ha pubblicato estensivamente sull’interazione tra le ideologie della modernità, della guerra, del genocidio e della globalizzazione, inaugurando un nuovo filone di ricerca internazionale nato dalla combinazione degli studi sul cambiamento climatico e sul nazionalismo. 

Ha insegnato alla Cornell University, Syracuse University, Central European University e LSE. È membro del comitato direttivo/editoriale di oltre 10 riviste, incluse le maggiori riviste del settore. Attualmente è professore di ricerca presso la Ikerbasque Foundation for Science e la Università dei Paesi Baschi, Bilbao
