Il dibattito verterà sui progetti di nazione e quelli di integrazione europea sfociati nell’Unione europea\, e anche su come si è immaginato e si immagina lo spazio europeo nelle coordinate della geopolitica e del diritto internazionale. DESCRIPTION:Quasi il 20% dei cittadini rumeni ha lasciato il paese negli ultimi venti anni\, creando il flusso migratorio nazionale attualmente più incisivo dopo la Siria. Valentina PRICOPIE dell’Institutul de Sociologie al Academiei Romane (Bucureşti) presenterà l’evoluzione delle forme di migrazione romena dopo il 1990. Si soffermerà su che cosa ha significato il passaggio dalla ’emigrazione’ alla ‘libera circolazione’ dopo l’adesione romena all’UE nel 2007. Discuterà delle  mutevoli percezioni dei migranti rumeni sia nei paesi di accoglienza sia in quello di origine. Affronterà infine le questioni relative al peso economico\, sociale\, culturale e politico senza precedenti che le ‘diaspore’ di migranti hanno acquisito in Romania. Presentazione in lingua inglese. SUMMARY:The Mediterranean. Ideas\, Connections\, Crossings\, Risks
DESCRIPTION:In recent years\, the Mediterranean had a comeback in historiography and other related disciplines. Many of the these studies distance from Braudel’s concept of mediterranée. They prefer promoting histories in the Mediterranean instead of histories of the Mediterranean. \nIs the unity of the Mediterranean of a merely fictitious character or can it still serve as a useful category of historical analysis? Did the circulation of political ideas\, in particular liberal ideas\, which national diaspora disseminated over the long nineteenth century\, substantiate a Mediterranean political unity? Are the Mediterranean islands an example for separated pluralities\, or not rather for a multi-layered connectivity? Has the Mediterranean become a ‘sea of risks’? How do migrants who cross the Mediterranean\, and those who depart from its rims to Northern Europe\, experience and represent the maritime space?
