Paolo Bozzi joined the Chair of Social and Economic History at Humboldt in 2019 as a pre-doc research assistant (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter), while pursuing his PhD. Between 2014 and 2019, he studied in Pisa, where he received his M.A. in History from the University of Pisa in 2019 defending a thesis on the Economic History of 20th-century Italy. At the same time, he was an undergraduate student (allievo ordinario) at the Faculty of Humanities (Classe di Lettere e Filosofia) of the Scuola Normale Superiore, from which he was awarded a five-year scholarship. In 2018, he spent the spring semester at the University of Sheffield as Erasmus exchange student.
