Research activity

I have published 6 monographs and more than 100 scientific contributions in reviews and collective books. My research activity deals with the History of banking and financial systems in the las two centuries. I performed original and innovative studies on the rising of the Italian banking system and an appreciated syntesis on the history of the Bank of Italy from origins to nowdays, focused on the dilemma of central banking divided between autonomy and administrative control from the government. More recently I have developed a vast research program on the history of Internationl organizations in XIX and XX century. I have published with one of the major editors in Italy a History of United Nations that has counted three editons and now is available in e-book format. I have also published many articles on the history of international organizations in peer rewied reviews and in collective books, both in Italian and in English. My more recent outcomes are an innovative research on human rights regional regimes after 1945 that now is in the evaluation phase from the editor, and more essays on the Italian jurist and minister of foreign affairs Pasquale Stanislao Mancini (1818-1888) that have also considered the role of Italy in XIX century Egypt.
