The fight against tuberculosis. Policies, exchanges and representations in Europe and the colonies, 1850s-1970s
Maggio 26
The workshop will examine the intersection between medical and health interventions within the anti-tuberculosis movement in Europe and its colonies from the 1850s to the 1970s. Topics will include tuberculosis in the colonies, health infrastructures, non-state mobilisation, and micro-history as a case study.
Organised by Michele Mioni and Francesca Piana, the workshop is generously supported by the EuroHealthHist and GreatLeap Cost Actions. It is being held in cooperation with the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, under the auspices of the Department of Medical Sciences of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
