  • 2001-2004: post-doctoral grants from the University of Padua.
  • 1996-2000: grants from the Fondazione Giulio Pastore, the Unione Armeni d’Italia and the European Economic and Social Committee.
  • 2008-2010: in charge of a research group financed by the University of Padua on “Sindacati, imprenditori e l’inizio della globalizzazione: una prospettiva internazionale (1968-1981)” (“Unions, employers and the beginning of globalization: an international perspective, 1968-1981”).
  • 2006: in charge of a research group financed by the Istituto di Studi Politici S. Pio V on “Le Nazioni Unite e il problema dello sviluppo nei ‘creativi anni 70’” (“The United Nations and the question of development in the ‘creative 1970s’”).
  • Since 2005: in charge of annual personal research projects financed by the University of Padua
  • Since 1998: member of 5 two-year national research projects financed by the Italian Ministry of the University (3 of which being so-called “Projects of Relevant National Interest” = PRIN) and of 2 two-year research projects financed by the University of Padua.
  • Member of a network of external experts working with the ILO Century Project (www.ilo.org/century/).
  • Member of the international research network “WAGE (Wage Analysis in Globalising Europe)”, led by the Université d’Artois.

  • Since 2004: member of the direction board of the journal Storia e Politica – Annali della Fondazione Ugo La Malfa.
  • From 2007 to 2015: correspondent of the Scientific Committee of the journal Sindacalismo.
  • From 2004 to 2010: member of the editorial board of the journal Ventunesimo Secolo
  • Member of the scientific committee of 11 national and international conferences, held in Florence, Padua, Perugia, Teramo and Siena.
  • Participation as speaker in more than 60 scientific national and international conferences held in Italy, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Spain, Romania, China and the United States.

Teaching positions:

  • Since 2015-16 in charge of the graduate course in History of the International Organisations, University of Padua
  • In 2017-2018 in charge of the undergraduate course in History of European Integration, University of Padua.
  • In previous years in charge of graduate courses in History of International Relations, History of the European Political Institutions, Diplomatic History, History of Transatlantic Relations, History of Europe.
  • Has given courses or lectures at the universities of Florence, Siena, Trento, the University “Suor Orsola Benincasa” in Naples, the Université de Genève, the Université Libre de Bruxelles, the West University of Timisoara, the Université de Cergy-Pontoise, the Université Catholique de Louvain-la-neuve, the Université d’Artois in Arras and the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in Florianopolis (Brasil).
